Thank you for reaching out. While the 24x24 linear slot diffuser is labeled as "not filter compatible," this primarily refers to its inability to hold a filter directly within the unit. Some HVAC systems don’t require a filter for return vents, which is why it can still be used as a return.
If you’re using it for a return vent, we recommend removing the damper to maximize airflow and ensure the best performance.
